1606 Good Cheer Cider
1606 Good Cheer Cider
The name of our 1606 Good Cheer Cider relates to the year that Samuel de Champlain started the Order of Good Cheer in Port Royal, NS, our backyard. Samuel began the Order to help keep his men happy and content during the cold winter months. History tells us that the men enjoyed apple cider made from wild Nova Scotia apple trees and from trees that they brought with them from France. We celebrate this Order which still exists to this day. The sketch on our label is a hand drawn sketch of Port Royal created by Champlain.
Our 1606 cider is an off dry apple cider that uses 7 varieties of Nova Scotia heirloom apples. It is a beautiful sipping cider an pairs well with bbq, poultry and pub fare.
Alc/vol: 6%. Gluten Free
